Labor Force

Wake Forest is part of the Research Triangle Region, comprised of an extremely talented work force of 1.2 million people. We attribute the success of our local community largely to one key component – our human capital. Our talented people are highly educated, driven and entrepreneurial and come from all over the world to live and work in this dynamic community.

The percentage of Wake Forest residents working in professional, scientific, management, and administrative services is significantly higher than most municipalities, with 16.4% of our population working in these fields.  As a result of the rapid growth in Wake Forest's corporate community and the unique appeal of our town, we consistently over-perform our peers.
